October BarkBox Review
Nothing is scarier than running out of treats and chewy toys for our big guy.
Luckily this month’s Barkbox was spook-takular!
Here is our October Barkbox Review
Scouts favorite by far was the zombie squirrel. Zombie squirrel met his demise quick enough that the cast of the Walking Dead would have been proud.
The other “stuffie” this month was the cutest cauldron… it was a great addition to this months theme and all stuffies from Barkbox have squeakers which is a huge incentive for Scout to stay busy with them until the squeaker is out… it also keeps him out of trouble for the week or two following when we get our BarkBox.
The treats this month include Chick or Treat which was great for the month’s theme but I do which they allowed for allergy preferences as Scout has a chicken allergy and we have to watch how much chicken he gets in his treats and buy non-chicken food.
The green bark gummies treats were a hit as was the bully stick that was included. Overall, Scout was pretty excited about his trick or treat haul.

Our first stop of the morning was actually to drive over to get our Golf Cart from
After all of that, it was about time for lunch so we went over to Blu Luna, which is the restaurant right by our hotel. Since you are in the middle of Lake Erie, you have to at least get fish once, so i ordered their Walleye Nachos, something that you don’t find everyday. It’s actually an appetizer, but I ordered it as my meal. The portion was generous, so if you get these, it could easily make a meal for two.

make my husband’s shirt it’s home while we were in the garden.

We also ventured over to Put-in-Bay Winery and enjoyed a great view of the lake while the kids played on the lawn.

Shaper

Next is this super luxe beach towel… super soft, thick and measures 40×70 so its perfect to lay out on or wrap up in. Lemons are super on trend this season and it adds a bit of whimsy to a day by the local pool or exotic coast.

They both have squeakers which our dog Scout goes crazy for.. the bat also had one of those tubes inside that is like the ones you see in kids toys sometime and when you turn it upside down it makes that funny slow pitch sound.

No Box is complete without some yummy treats. Scout loves cheese, almost as much as his humans, so he really loved the Triple Cheese Baseball Treats that came in his box. As well as the Bocce’s Bakery Sliders. The Cheese Baseballs were the clear winner out of the two, especially since they were a soft treat rather than a crunchy one, which seems to be his overall preference.

Our summer is never complete without a visit to Idlewild and Soakzone, located in Southwest Pennsylvannia. It’s an easy drive for us from Northeast Ohio and so worth it. They have been voted best Kids Park in the World times and deservingly so. This year was a little differentt as we only spent one day (usually we spend two, one for storybook forest and rides and one day for waterpark and rides) and after trying to fit it all in in one day, I definately reccomend making this a two day venture. While the park isn’t huge like some parks, there is more to do for the little ones than most parks. Its really one of the best things about Idlewild.
